Mechanism of action:

The crystal structure of barium sulphate is very similar with lead sulfate, barium sulfate can be used as the crystal nucleus of lead sulfate in the negative plate discharge process, to prevent the formation of lead sulfate passivation layer on the electrode. Barium sulfate scattered in the active material, can keep the high po「osity of negative electrode, increase the real surface area of the negative plate, 「educe the shrink endency of sponge lead, improve the discharge performance and extend the battery life.
